Services represent over half of the revenues associated with technology product industries. Yet, service revenue streams can be difficult to scale and optimize. Where should product companies place their bets to reduce risk and maximize the return on their service businesses?
This will be the focus of the Fall 2008 TPSA Summit taking place October 20-22 in Las Vegas at the beautiful Mirage Hotel Resort & Casino.
If you have a story to share on how you’ve successfully maximized your service business in one of the following areas, we encourage you to submit a speaker application. (Click the Track Titles below for a description of each track)
- Service Strategy
This competency track is designed to address the issues faced by senior managers responsible for the general management of a service business. Topics addressed in this track could include aligning organizational structure with service strategy, aligning service strategy with product strategy, operating models to manage a service business, strategies for increasing the target addressable market, strategies for funding R&D initiatives, etc.
- Service Operations
This competency track is designed to address the issues faced by service professionals responsible for the operational infrastructure and processes supporting the service business.This includes service finance and legal staff. Topics addressed in this track could include tracking effectiveness and financial performance with operating metrics, measuring sales and delivery resource productivity, global resource management, etc.
- Service Delivery
This competency track is designed to address the issues faced by service professionals directly responsible for delivering service offerings to the customer. Topics addressed in this track could include staffing models, resource development management, project management tactics, service delivery optimization initiatives, quality management, customer satisfaction, etc.
- Service Marketing
This competency track is designed to address the issues faced by marketing staff chartered to market the service portfolio. Topics addressed in this track could include demand generation, value proposition, market analysis, offering development, etc.
- Service Development
This competency track is designed to address the issues faced by service professionals responsible for developing service delivery methodologies. Topics addressed in this track could include innovation models, service offer engineering/development, funding models, testing and deployment strategies, managing the change and field adoption processes, etc.
- Partner Management
This competency track is designed to address the issues faced by service professionals responsible for identifying, evaluating, and enabling service delivery partners. Topics addressed in this track could include partnering strategies, certification programs, partner evaluation processes, etc.
- Product Management
This competency track is designed to address the issues faced by product managers as they work to effectively interface with the service organization. Topics addressed in this track could include development models, product lifecycle management models, metrics, accountability models, etc. that drive the linkages and behaviors required to enable a fully aligned relationship between services and product development.
- Innovative Service Technology
(Co-Presented by Partners and Their Customers)
This competency track is designed for members to co-present with their industry solution providers to show how they have successfully partnered using innovative technologies to solve real-world service problems.
Speakers who can effectively convey specific details about their best practices and the quantifiable business results they’ve produced will be given preference. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your story with other TPSA members and receive industry recognition for your achievements.
