Services Continuum
Technology solution providers often use the same terms to describe different types of service offerings. To create a common terminology for normalizing benchmark data, TPSA, with the concurrence of its Advisory Board, has adopted the following definition of the services continuum. One of the five major types of services typically offered by technology solutions providers, “technology professional services” itself consists of five distinct categories of services offerings. It is these offerings, and the companies that provide them, that TPSA represents.
NOTE: Product customization is a service activity present in two service categories: Implementation and Integration. TPSA believes that customization offered during standard implementation, and customization offered in large scale integration are fundamentally two very different types of offerings.
