Planning Aligned to Organizational Goals Ensures Successful Delivery of Technology Professional Services

TPSA Summit Provides Platform for Technology Professional Services Executives to Discuss Strategies, Share Insights

SAN DIEGO, May 16, 2007 – The Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA) wrapped up its two-day TPSA Summit last week in San Diego with renewed commitment from the world’s top technology professional services providers to work together to mature the complex and critical processes required to optimize a technology professional services business.

TPSA, the technology professional services industry’s premier organization, created its spring Summit on the theme of “Setting the Annual PS Plan,” delivering a thought-leading agenda on the professional services planning process that provides professional services executives with the data, experience, and peer interaction needed to build a great professional services plan.

“Unlike some industry conferences, the TPSA Summit offered a unique forum combining a high level of professionalism with a friendly, open ambiance.  TPSA continues to provide a healthy foundation for building an active business community,” said Jean Pommier, Vice President Methodology, Corporate Quality Office, ILOG Inc.

“I found the TPSA Summit to be very valuable, and I gained a great deal of insight into how to apply a range of best practices to our own business,” said Laurie Jacobson Jones, Vice President, Professional Services Operations and PMO, SupportSoft, Inc.

“Quite simply, the best minds in professional services contributed to the Summit and enabled us to deliver a fact-filled, data-rich conference that presented a real-world look at how planning issues impact the success of their organization,” said TPSA Executive Director Thomas Lah.

Keynote presentations included Paul Hofstadler, Vice President, Worldwide Consulting, Mentor Graphics; Greg Hughes, Group President, Symantec Global Services; Dean McMann, CEO and Senior Partner, McMann and Ransford; Kelly Rakowski, Managing Principal, Performance Solutions, GE Healthcare; Vivek Rao, Vice President, Worldwide Operations, BEA Consulting; and Charlotte Roberts, President, Blue Fire Partners.

Workshop sessions were led by senior professional services leaders from Alcatel, Avaya, CA, Convergys Corporation, HP, IKON Office Solutions, ILOG, Intervoice Global Consulting Services, Novus Consulting Group, Nuance Communications, OpenAir, Oracle, Parametric Technology Corporation, Progress Software and Tenrox.
