TPSA Fall Summit Concludes Thought-Provoking Sessions on Maximizing the
Human Potential through Strategy, Operations, Partner Management, Engineering,
Human Resources, Sales and Finance
SAN DIEGO, November 14, 2007 – The Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA) Fall Summit, held last week in Boston, provided a platform for the world’s top technology professional services executives to discuss the key issues related to human capital that directly impact their organizations, companies, partners and customers.
TPSA is the technology professional services industry's premier organization and the two-day Fall Summit, themed "The Many Faces of Human Capital," focused on human capital as the central asset in every technology professional services organization. Human capital is one of a range of topics related to professional services that TPSA brings together through communities of interest with the purpose of communicating, collaborating and connecting.
“Over seventy percent of the average TPS organization’s budget is spent on people, making this the quintessential ‘human capital intensive’ business,” said Thomas Lah, TPSA Executive Director. “In a very competitive, global marketplace, professional service organizations are driving new innovations to increase the efficiency and profitability of that human capital.”
The Fall Summit presented keynotes from Lah; Atul Vashistha, Chairman and CEO, NeoIT; Randy Mysliviec, President, RTM Consulting; Paul Dwyer, Regional Vice President Oracle Consulting, Oracle; Onagh Ash, Senior Vice President Consulting and Integration, HP Services; and Mukund Menon, Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Satyam Computer Services.
“The Summit content was very timely for us,” said Jeff Boyce, SVP Professional Services & Customer Support at Aderant, a global provider of business and financial management software for law firms. Jeff took his entire senior management team to the Summit, and conducted the team’s fiscal year 2008 planning meeting over the next two days. “The Summit was the perfect segue into our planning because the event covered the very issues we are working on in laying out our resource plan and scorecard for next year,” said Boyce.
Additional workshops and sessions were presented by Aprimo, Avaya, BMC Software, CA, EMC Global Services, Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Mentor Graphics, Network Appliance, OpenAir, Oracle, Parametric Technology Corporation, Pretium Partners, Primavera Systems, S3 Solutions, Service Performance Insight, Software AG, Sun Microsystems, Symantec, Teradata and Unisys.
The TPSA Fall Summit sponsors included Citrix Online, Lithium, Oracle, Primavera, Alexander Consulting, Allegro Associates, Entelligence, Neochange, Pretium Partners, RTM Consulting, S3 Solutions and StoryQuest.
