Professional Services Industry Executives Validate Initiatives and Ideas with Peers and Academic Thought Leaders
SAN DIEGO, June 21, 2006 – The Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA) held its Executive Forum on the globalization of the professional services workforce last week at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
“Providing a connection between global outsourcing and off-shoring strategies and the different functional areas of professional services was a key objective of the Executive Forum” said Thomas Lah, TPSA executive director. “Part of the TPSA mission is to provide collaborative learning and knowledge sharing environments. Our first TPSA Executive Forum allowed attendees to expand their viewpoints, share successes and challenges, and network to better understand the impact of emerging global resources on the process of delivering professional services."
Featured speakers included Thomas Lah, Executive Director of TPSA; Dr. Oded Shenkar, Ford Motor Company Chair in Global Business Management at the Fisher College of Business; Dr. Mohan Sawhney, Tribune Professor of Technology and Director, Center for Research in Technology and Innovation, Kellogg School of Management; Mark Sloane, Vice President, Professional Services Group, Convergys Corporation; and Dave Sligting, Executive Vice President, Rolta International, Inc.
"The TPSA Executive Forum shed valuable insight on the globalization of professional services for corporations who have a worldwide presence.
