"Services without Boundaries" Theme Hits Home for Attendees of Technology Services Europe 2009

Leaders from all walks of the services industry converge in Barcelona to discuss the drivers of services innovation in today's economy.

SAN DIEGO, April 3, 2009 –The three leading professional associations of the services and support industry–AFSMI, SSPA, and TPSA–collaborated recently to bring the world's top services industry experts together under one roof.

Technology Services Europe 2009 (TSE09), held April 1-3 in Barcelona, proved to be Europe's leading technology services conference held thus far in 2009. The event highlighted the concept of "services without boundaries"–breaking down barriers to maximize services success. Over 100 representatives from 16 different countries and 60 companies and academic institutions attended the conference, discovering the latest technologies in services, learning the best practices from the best in the business, and directly and positively impacting their bottom lines by staying ahead of the pack.

"Once again, we saw the value of in-person networking and experience-sharing as an accelerator to making sound business decisions," said J.B. Wood, president and CEO of AFSMI, SSPA, and TPSA. "Especially in this 'down' economy, with service revenues more critical than ever to survival, services executives need to be attuned to the latest thinking in services strategy and execution. They found that here."

Keynote and track sessions were led by top executives from IBM, Alcatel-Lucent, Agilent Technologies, McAfee, EMC, OpenAir, Sun Microsystems, Philips Healthcare, and more, representing a broad spectrum of technology services companies and disciplines within services. Key leaders representing business, academic, and government institutions discussed significant projects currently underway that are at the cutting edge of services science and innovation.

The associations' next conference, Technology Services World (TSW), is being held May 4-6 in Silicon Valley. Information is available at www.technologyservicesworld.com.
