tpsa forum: The Service Chasm

March 20, 2007
Wharton West Campus,
The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
San Francisco, CA

In 1991, forum co-host Geoffrey Moore, authored the now famous book, Crossing the Chasm which framed and defined a predictable chasm that must be navigated if a technology product is to be adopted on a large scale by the main street marketplace. Since that time, the technology industry has significantly matured, and technology professional services have played a large part in the continued growth of historically product-centric companies. The growing role of technology professional services within a more mature technology industry brings with it a new set of strategic challenges. With this maturity, there is a new chasm that technology companies must decide how, when and if to cross: The Service Chasm

The TPSA Forum: The Service Chasm offers your senior PS management team the unique opportunity to examine your current service strategy profile and determine what product/service mix is appropriate for your company going forward. Issues examined during this intimate, interactive, one-day event include:

  • Current industry dynamics that impact your company’s service strategy
  • Challenges faced when changing your product/service mix
  • Changing markets without adding services
  • Competition and differentiation in a maturing market
  • The impact of leading with services

Registration for the Forum is open to individuals and teams from both member and non-member companies. Join your peers, academic thought leaders, and industry luminaries for this intimate, one-day learning experience.
