TPSA Compensation study



In recent months, TPSA members have voiced a strong interest in learning what variable compensation levers are being used in the industry. As a result TPSA is currently conducting The TPSA 2006 Compensation Study. Twelve positions within three different functional areas of the typical technology professional services organization will be surveyed:

The Study report will include, but not be limited to the following analyses:

  1. Percent of variable compensation by position (for each of 12 positions)
  2. Percent of variable compensation by type of company (for each of four factors)
  3. Percent of variable compensation by PS organization charter (for each of two factors)
  4. Percent of variable compensation by TPS organization profile (for each of three factors)
  5. Percent of variable compensation by TPS project profile (for each of four factors)
  6. Mix of variable compensation levers by position (for each of 12 positions)
  7. Mix of variable compensation levers by type of company (for each of four factors)
  8. Mix of variable compensation levers by PS organization charter (for each of two factors)
  9. Mix of variable compensation levers by TPS organization profile (for each of three factors)
  10. Mix of variable compensation levers by TPS project profile (for each of four factors)
  11. Regional pay adjustment (geographic modifier) by position: incidence, basis, percent/dollar amount (for each of 12 positions)
  12. Base salary quartiles, means, and medians by position (for each of 12 positions)
  13. Total compensation quartiles, means, and medians by position (for each of 12 positions)
