2009 TPSA Project Performance Study

Now Available for Purchase by all Member Companies


In September 2009, TPSA completed a landmark Multi-Member Benchmarking Study on PS Project Performance.  Originally available only to study participants, the deliverables and findings are now available for purchase by all member companies.

Study Overview
The TPSA PS Project Performance Study includes policies and practices survey data and actual project performance metrics from 17 companies, representing a balanced cross-section of TPS organizations. The result is a new, rich understanding of common PS project management practices and an unprecedented data set of actual PS project performance covering over three dozen metrics for 139 actual PS projects.

    • 40+ items covering 6 major categories:  project pricing, project staffing, project management, customer satisfaction measurement, project close processes and project accounting

  • Project Performance Data Capture
    • 50+ actual project performance metrics from 135 PS projects covering 6 major categories:  basic project information, product/solution maturity, resourcing, schedule performance, pricing and financials, and project close
